“The current organization just doesn’t reach out to us anymore,” said Morty Hunsacker, part time sports publicist at
The group plans a number of social activities in
DC hopes to again play a friendly softball match against its younger brethren. “Did you see that box score when we played them last year?” exclaimed Hunsacker. “They had eight guys named 'Anonymous.'”
The group will have a table (next to the restroom near the registration table) seeking new members in
The organization was founded as Dead CoSIDA in the roaring twenties. “Times change,” said Hunsacker. “There were no dames in the business back in the day. Some of the fellas felt the name was not politically correct.”
DC, however, is not just a social off-shoot of a national professional organization. “We believe in community service,” said Hunsacker. “Our members forward 3-percent of their social security checks to the Human Fund. All of us are organ donors. I’m hopeful that one of the young bucks will inherit my heart, because that is what is missing in our business today.”

Maybe it's because I don't go to CoSIDA conventions, or that I could take CoSIDA or leave it, but I really don't understand your issue with Young CoSIDA. I read and re-read the post on the previous topic and I just don't see the harm.
Unless the people posting from YC were lying, it is open to anyone. I mean, if we're going to prevent the like-minded from congregating, we should probably take down this blog.
I read your posts, and it seems your biggest gripes are covering the commodore pet looking computer logo and feeling excluded. I am not being fecitious when I ask, what am I missing here?
Why did my Human Fund=Money for People comment get deleted? That is yet another Seinfeld reference.
Maybe it was just an attempt to get some life back into this board.
sorry - plucking spam in a hurry - sailed over my head
I think we can officially call this blog the Deceased Disgruntled SID
I dunno. 53 posts and 40 some on the previous topic doesn't seem dead to me.
Yeah, on posts from three months ago...someone make a new post, its the end of the year, everyone isn't in baseball playoffs.
SOMEBODY POST SOMETHING!!!! Seriously, ECAC-SIDA is like two and a half weeks away and the whole flippin SID industry is entirely happy with everything going on? Somebody needs to post something, all of this gruntledness is making me disgruntled!
Seriously -- if nothing else...discussion of the executive director idea?
The fact that we have nine "primary bloggers" who aren't bothering to post anything is pretty sad. Anybody for some new bloggers, or perhaps a new board? I have offered to post things three different times and have never received a response.
And the exec director idea is a good one, so long as they actually get somebody who does something. However, it does nothing to address the differences between big time D-I and smaller schools from I, II and III.
Buddhist SID
Buddhist -
You have been told several times how to post.
email disgruntledsid@yahoo.com.
Incidentially, my lack of posting coincided with five playoff teams.
Deceased CoSIDA--what about Deceased D-SID?!

Thank You! Very interesting article. Do you can write anything else about it?
